COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way for consumers and farmers to share the risks and benefits of food production in a given growing season. By purchasing a CSA share before the growing season starts, you are supporting a local farmer in advance in exchange for receiving a weekly share of the harvest all season long.

CSA programs allow consumers to enjoy eating fresh food grown right in their community,  while learning what it means to eat seasonally. CSA's are the best possible way to eat the most nutrient dense organically grown food. Harvest occurs the same morning as pick-up - we believe in fresh!

As a CSA member, you will learn about what crops are available during the summer. Timing and availability will vary each year based on the weather and agricultural variables.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a CSA share?

Large Share  $600 for the season - this option comes with 6-8 different vegetables weekly, but with greater item quantity than the basic share. It is great for people who cook and eat lots of leftovers!  This share will feed families of 5 or more people. This share is 20 weeks of fresh organic vegetables!

Basic Share - $500 for the season - this option will receive 4-6 different types of  vegetables weekly. It is the best choice for smaller families or those interested in trying new vegetables often.  This share will feed 2-4 people. This share is 20 weeks of fresh organic vegetables!

Half Share - $350 for the season - this option comes with 4-6 different vegetables bi-weekly. It is the same size as the basic share. It is great for busy families who love fresh vegetables, but aren't home enough to go through them all in a week. This share is 10 weeks of fresh organic vegetables distributed every other week.

Working Share - 12 hours/month- want to farm but don't have the space? This is the option for you! Pay for the Basic Share $500.00. Come work on the farm for 12 hours a month and receive 50% off the basic share of vegetables at the end of the season. The best part is you will help grow and harvest what you are bringing home to your family.  This share is 20 weeks of fresh organic vegetables.

Some weeks may be worth much more during peak harvest times while others may not quite reach that mark. For example, there is usually a lull between Spring and Summer crops where you may not receive as much produce, but in August and September  you will most likely receive an excess

Covid 19 Update

We are committed to continuing to provide our community with fresh, healthy, local food throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We are doing our best to make food pickup the safest environment possible. Masks will be optional for those who are fully vaccinated. We will have a market style distribution where you will park, walk-up, and pick out your food yourself. Be sure to bring your own bag every week.
